Born in Moscow, Russia, Anastasya moved to Boston, Massachusetts in 1991. She comes from a long line of theater and literature folk, and has always sought creative outlets of her own. An interest in international and cultural studies led her to Georgetown University, where she earned a dual BA in Digital Art and French, studying for a year at the Sorbonne in Paris. Later, she returned to Europe to study at the London School of Economics (MSc, Media & Communications) – and meet her husband, a Dane.
Next stop was Copenhagen, where she nurtured her passions for writing and design, developing a niche working for some of Denmark’s top, global design and lifestyle companies. This work can be seen at StoryPeel. She then spent a year as the lead writer for the Harvard Innovation Labs prior to relocating to Basel, Switzerland with her family (just two months before the fateful March 2020).
Anastasya’s writing has been featured in the Design Museum Magazine, Disney’s (former) Babble magazine, and the Scandinavian lifestyle blog The YUME Edit, as well as on her culture blog, CulturePeel.
